  17. Lemon juice of 1/2 lemon
  18. 1 tsp baking powder+1 tsp oil to be added at last
  19. 1 tablespoon Cooking oil or ghee
  20. Oil to pour on sides: 1/2 tsp for each pancake

Instructions to make Moong Methi Pancakes (Indian Style)

  1. First, finely chop methi leaves. Heat an iron kadhai. Add oil or ghee. When it heats up, add cumin seeds.
  2. When cumin pops up, add methi leaves and keep stirring and cooking on high flame. Add salt after a minute.
  3. Then stir cook for another minute and turn off flame. Then add lemon juice and transfer this in a steel or glass bowl.
  4. Then add all the other ingredients and mix well. Add water gradually and mix to a pouring consistency batter.
  5. Then keep it for 10 minutes. Now heat a tawa. Add 1 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp water to the batter. Mix well.
  6. Pour a laddlefull of batter on tawa. Spread in a thick circle. Pour oil on sides. Cover and cook till golden at base.
  7. Then turn upside down and cook till the other side is golden brown too. Remove and make all the pancakes similarly.
  8. Serve immediately with curd, chutney, ketchup or pickle and enjoy delicious Moong Methi Pancakes.
